Digital Railroad Suspending Operations – Added Oct. 28, 2008
To our valued Members:
We’re sorry to inform you that Digital Railroad (DRR) has shut down.
On October 15th we reported that the company had reduced its staff and was aggressively pursuing additional financing and/or a strategic partner. Unfortunately, those efforts were unsuccessful. Therefore Digital Railroad has been forced to suspend all operations.
This archive may only be accessible for the next 24 hours.
Digital Railroad has attracted a loyal set of members. Thank you for allowing us to serve the photographic community these past few years.
All questions pertaining to claims should be addressed to:

PS: Update 31.10.2008
My DRR.net/borutpeterlin account is still running, although it’s so slow it’s practically useless.
Only good thing is that sites that offer hosting for Hi-Res images are fighting for us, former DRR members, offering discounts. We’ll see what I will decide. For now, I’m lingering towards a decision to buy really posh portfolio site from aphotofolio.com and use http://www.me.com/gallery for distribution of images. I am trying out other services like photoshelter, smugmug, http://www.sitewelder.com/, newscom.com and others. I’ll let you know in a week time or so.

Ponovno: smugmug? Kakšne boljše alternative temu ne poznam. Velik in prijazen community, večja uporabnost…

Ah, Borut, sva v istem zosu…

Great! ftp uploading doesn’t work anymore! And I just renew my yearly subscription!!! Not to mention that a magazine is owning me 800 USD, which I will never see.

If you’ve used your credit card to purchase service call your credit card company and ask to reverse charges as DRR didn’t deliver the service. If you’ve renewed within last few months they should be able to do so with ease. I’ve done this in the past and there was no problem.
