Police was secretly surveying journalists

with one comment

Prime Minister Janez Janša as a Gypsy.

Police was secretly surveying Strojan family and also journalists that was covering story. Today Ombudsman for human rights Matjaž Hanžek reveled that police was surveying Strojan family and forbidding them to move freely. They had exact order was that if Strojan would want to move away from Postojna refugee center they should be stopped and returned to refugee center. Nothing new to me since I was identified many times while covering Strojan story and I also know that Strojan’s are stopped and returned to the refugee center. At the time I was told that when family got into car they were stopped at the end of town of Postojna and social care worker came to take their children back to the refugee center and only then parents were allowed to exit Postojna. I must admit that I didn’t believe it at the time, but now Hanžek says that police had a direct order to stop Strojan and call social care worker.

Sure, we were stopped and identified numerous times, but they told us it’s just a normal traffic control. Peculiar traffic control where everybody in the car is asked for identification card. Well that kind of traffic patrols were covering 24/7 all exits from Postojna and also on a highway exit at Ivančna Gorica towards Ambrus. Luckily Ombudsman Hanžek found hard evidence that this violation of human rights were in fact going on.

Here you can listen audio recording from his press conference.
