Striptiz photosession does look like I’m mad
Today I was photographing Jasmina Cibić an incredible artist. On the first glimpse of her site I realize we are on the same level of understanding photography and I had no doubt it will be fun taking her portraits. Yesterday she flew to Ljubljana from London and I suggested we should meet and perhaps take few pictures and if we will not feel that we’re getting somewhere, we will meet again tomorrow. Of course I had no idea how should I photograph her, beside that I want to have a clear picture with just few elements. Sort of her aesthetic.
We met in front of Mladina building and on the other side of the street there was a big pile of junk. I approached it with great interest, looking for some stuff I would want to include in the picture. I took this old gorgeous microwave and I knew it will make the picture. We drove to a football court where I could find a clear background. At_the_beginning we were just wondering how can we use the microwave in the picture, starting with silly advertising shots laughing our guts out. Then I suggested she should throw the microwave in the air and let it fall. Again we laughed and I knew we are on the right track. All the concepts evaporated and there was nothing left beside pure visual elements and even microwave vanished. All it was left from it was a beautiful square in which sunset was mirroring.
PS:_Now_I’m_not so sure anymore which picture is better. The first picture in this post or the last one?
