We have a road to our property!

with 3 comments

_mg_2545_borut_peterlin.jpgAfter a nerve braking issue with our neighbor, who blocked a road that was going partly on his land, I finally achived that we have an access to our property. Of course our neighbor was threatening, but I was just ignoring him. We’re so happy! We are seriously starting with planning of our house.

  1. This is awesome! Building a new house! Did you pick up a plan yet? Me and my wife are contemplating moving as well. Just figuring out that with kid on the way we need to start thinking of a bigger house. We have 3 bedroom/3 bathroom house now but could use an extra room or two. More likely two because we both know we’ll have more kids after this one. Oldest one moved out and is going to finish college next year (this being her senior year). Perhaps we will keep the house we have and rent it (to her or someone else) and buy another one to move to.

We are also looking to book tickets for a family trip to Slovenia. I am dreading it purely from the cost perspective. Flying four family members, renting a car, some hotel stays (as we will do a trip outside of Slovenia as well), gas etc. But on the other hand, my family (except me) haven’t seen my nephew yet. It will be a good opportunity to show my new daughter to my side of the family. Funny as she will be the only grandchild bearing family name.

  2. No, we haven’t picked up a house plan yet, since it was all depending on the access road to our parcel. If it would be from bellow it would not be as good as it is now, when an access road is from above.

But we’re in favor of wooden house or other energy super isolated version of brick house.

Looking forward to your arrival Iztok! As you know Slovenia is very small so you don’t need a car. Rollerblades or a bicycle is good enough 🙂
