It’s_already_a_midnight_so I’ll keep it short. This weekend we had a Festival of bloggers in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This guy Eirik Solheim had a lecture and I was overwhelmed. After his lecture journalist Jure Aleksič made an interview with him for Mladina and let me tell you, this guy figured it all out! He know the trends and what he is a trend setter himself.

In the interview he gave so much incredible insights of this new world of technology that i was listening with mouth open. I remember when he was talking about marketing on the web. First he gave an example of Coca Cola marketing in Norway a new product that was Coca Cola light, but with different name, addressed for male customers. They had unlimited budget and they hired few companies to spam blogs in comments directory. Bloggers got so upset and rise an uprising that Coca Cola soon ended their marketing strategy. Whereas a Blendtech that manufactures super tech blenders had no money for marketing, but they start a you tube videos will-it-blend and this videos became a huge success with almost 4 million viewings. Not to mention that the sale of this blenders skyrocket. Take a look of this video and you’ll know why.
PS: Expect more BLOGRES pics in a just a little while!

  1. But on the other hand he just (ab)uses the knowledge of how Google “thinks” for his own good. It’s all in the keywords, and pagerank also helps. So actually it’s not such a big mistery, you just have to consider the post title and posting frequency and you’re on top.
Or you can go on a congress and put url to your blog on a big screen 🙂

Btw: It was nice to see you.

  2. I don’t know how google works, but obviously you and him knows the business.

I’m looking forward to your future success and should I expect that in next Blogres you will be the lecturer?

By the way. If you know this stuff we could compensate the knowledge. An hour of photography lesson by me for an hour of wordpress and stuff lesson by you?
