Few more weeks until our Festival of Documentary Photography Fotopub will roll. It’s happening for the 7th year in a row and this year I’m expecting to be a new milestone. I’m quite proud on the program! All this events are open for everybody.

Monday 6th of August
19:30 – 20.30 Lecture of Arne Hodalič, Slovenian photographer who works for National Geographic. The title of his lecture is National Geographic aesthetics’s and editorial policy
21.00 Opening of the festival and a party with live music

Tuesday 7th of August
19.30 – 20.30 Lecture by Chris de Bode
20.30 – 21.00 Exhibition opening of Borut Peterlin: Strojan Roma family – refugees in their own country
21.00 – 22.10 Projection of feature film of Dušan Moravec: Photojournalists

Wednesday 8th of August
19.30 – 20.30 Lecture by David Steets
21.00 Chilling in the club with the best projections from the last years

Thuresday 9th of August
19.00 – 20.00 Lecture Francesco Zizola
20.00 – 21.00 Exhibition opening: Francesco Zizola – Irak
21.00 – 23.00 Screenings of documentary photostories and the Thursday’s Award

Friday 10th of August
19.00 – 20.00 Lecture Stephen Gill
20.00 – 21.00 Exhibition opening Stephen Gill: Observations
21.00 Concert: Juba (Bra)

Saturday 11th of August
14.30 – 18.00 Tribune – public debate on photography
Hanno Hardt: The effects of globalization on the uses of photography
Paul Lowe: »The more we see the less we know« with regard to major news stories, and use
palestine as an example……
Ilija Tomanić: Photography in the service of globalization
Borut Peterlin: Photography, blogs, internet and money

19.00 – 20.00 Bicycling race Tour de Bode (open to every body and the winner receives an original print of )
20.00 – 21.00 Exhibition opening Chris de Bode: Tour du Monde
21.00 – 23.00 The final screening of workshop projects and concert JAZOO (Slo) & SLOW MOOD (Aut)

This is a festival events open to every body. Beside that there is also a workshop with different levels. By now we have about 50 participants and if you want to join, do it now, because we might accept just few more participants. Official languages are Slovenian and English.
