New Flower Power pictures

with 3 comments

Oh, I almost forgot to publish two pictures from my Flower Power project. I shot them on presidential elections a week ago. Which one from first two do you prefer?

  1. I think the first one is better since colorful roses, surrounded by pack of gray and dull trousers make a great effect. Pahor’s face, turning towards the obscured woman is also a nice touch. It seems like he is trying to give flowers to her, as if the only pair of skirted legs is attracting roses to itself. I’d go for the first one, definitely.

  2. I agree with Aljoša that number one is better. I like how the two pairs of gray paints in the foreground frame the flowers in an A-shape. It draws the eye right in. There’s also something more subtle about not being able to see the front of the face of anyone who is pictured. It makes the flowers stand out even more. Nice shot!

  3. Thanks Aljoša and Jen,
I agree completely! Dull gray is so typical color of politician’s suit and red flowers. Jolly!
Also third picture is “a wish came true”. I know it’s a bit small to view, but there are eyes of the first president Kučan, newly elected president Turk, three cameras sticking from the top and a bouquet of dried flowers. This Flower- Power s a super drive for me!

PS: Again, it’s a hommage to Garry Winogrand and his Public relation book.
