Jerca Šantej is a painter who’s work often intervenes with public spaces such as buss stations, cars, walls, etc. In my portrait I wanted that public space intervenes with her. Portrait commisioned by Mladina for Striptiz rubric.
ALL SIZES (blow up)

I like the concept and I like the picture. It is unusual to see a Striptiz portrait without any additional light intervention.

Super ideja 😉

Huh, Borut, huda.
Jerco poznam in je treba rečt, da si jo totalno zadel – odštekana, takšna kot je.
PS: A se je pripeljala s svojim kangoojem? 🙂

Simple ideas are the best! But it was not that simple to shoot as it looks like. With Jerca we were driving for half hour around Sevnica looking for appropriate crossing and even when we found it, dyed it white and I’ve shot first shot I realize it’s too graphic. It was only stripes with Jerca, so we moved more toward a sidewalk and then we asked a person to stop with his car and another to stop on her way from a shop.
Although I had all my flashes and flashfeeder I didn’t use it. I just waited for a cloud and took a picture.
Klemen I didn’t know you are so harsh critic. I guess you could expect my agent from NY, Žan “This time is Personal” Krištof to visit your blog and share some opinions with you 🙂
Lenart, of course she came with her car painted as an abstract car crash.

Praktično vsak teden me na novo presenečaš. Noro, kako ti ne zmanjka idej in inspiracije? Na čemu si, haha;).
Super, le tko naprej.

Zaenkrat ni bojazni he, he.

Nič za odvzet nič za dodat. Perfektno!!!
Res nora relacija umetnik – okolica – potrošnik.

Heh, we’ll be forming an alliance with Jean, indeed. The thing is that “gombač” and “radovič” (if i remember correctly” were a bit boring to me, and those two dancers with the reflection were really cool. And now this. Whew! It’s the smile! And the black-white contrast. Maybe the phone is too much or it should be replaced with a regular one, you know, something like this. I think that would rock! And it’s so great to see you’re really enjoying your new 24 f/1.4 lens.
Anyways, I didn’t mean to criticize, it was just going from “ok” in the previous two portraits to “oh-so-cool” with this one… (and the last one with the train is also nice… minute and a half exposure and multiple flashes did the job!). Best of luck to you!
