New Stripitz portrait Jure Breceljnik and Natalija Gros

with 10 comments

natalija gros and Jure Breceljnik 20090323_9441 Jure Breceljnik is a filmmaker who made a documentary film about Natalija Gros entitled Chalk and Chocolate. As I reported HERE they had a premiere on Mountain Film Festival and they won two awards Best Climbing Film Award and Viewers Choice Award.

Yesterday I made a their Striptiz creative portrait commissioned by Mladina weekly. The concept was to make a contrast of comfortableness of viewing film and toughness of climbing rocks, so I used a stereotype of a man sitting on the couch and women working. We shot it in Škofja Loka. Thanks Jure, Natalija and Perica, who was helping us to bring Jure and chair on the right spot. Here are few more pics from the shoot. I try it out also with wide angle lens, but it didn’t work out, because chair is unrecognizable.

  4. It’s amazing Borut…you always, almost without fail, get this comment…on all of your portraits “super ideja, super fotke 🙂 ” Damn you Matevž! I promise you that you are not helping the development process of our dear friend Borut with this comment. You need to hit home with your very important blogging commentary. You could change the world!

Anyhoooooooo It’s nice to my main siptar Jure B in the picture because it means that you have spent time together. No matter what praises you recieve and life styles you lead, success you both enjoy…you will always be my little school mates.

Proud of both of you…and please no more “super ideas and super photos”! Buy a thesaurus.

  5. I love this photo – both the idea and the implementation. Anyone know where one could
still see this movie? I missed it during the festival, sadly (and the festival’s site
    isn’t much help).

  6. @ JureF
    I’ll ask Jure

You are wrong! Comment like this are just as welcome as your sarcastic objections. I learned that I can expect certain kind of comment from certain kind of people. I know some will comment only if I they don’t like the image, whereas some will comment anything considering taxes and you will get pissed off when comments are in our communist language. The worst is when I have 500 visit / day or more and no comments! I like in Facebook an “I like” button. No philosophy, just an impression.

Considering comments I was surprised you didn’t comment the post about his premier. Anyhow you are right we had a great time shooting the picture and discussing how our work developed from student years.
    Thx for all the comments,
