Wet Plate Collodion – NEGATIVE – Manual
I’m sorry for not being able to publish a vlog for quite some time. I had some issues with infected thumb and the thumbnail had to be taken off. It’s alright, no worries. So in this vlog I’m making a research on subbing glass plates with albumen.
It took me the whole week to do it, but I’ve learned a lot. I have in mind several tests to really understand the mechanism behind the wet plate collodion process. My manual will be about the wet plate collodion NEGATIVE, not the positive. Almost everyone who practice the process today, works as wet plate collodion POSITIVE (ambrotype or tintype), but my manual will be about the negative variation of the process. The best way of making a photograph, the topshit way, of course.

If you are interested in the basic wet plate collodion manual, I warmly recommend Osterman’s manual: http://collodion.org/pubs.html
