Part 2 / Kodak D-76 the most famous film developer

with one comment

OK, finally here is the second part of my research on the most famous developer Kodak D-76 also sold as Ilford ID-11. It took me way too much time and energy and resources, but I am happy with the results and I believe this case will shine some light and inspiration for younger generations of photographers who would like to work in analogue photography.

I’m listing the print on EBay as an auction, starting from 0,99$. Not to get payed for the work that I’ve done, but to finance the future vlogs that I have in mind. Thank you for your attention and hopefully also the bidding.

You may support me in various ways:

Bid on my print on EBay
Or directly pay me a cup of tea via Paypal.me

Either way, let us not forget…

This is the first part of the Kodak D-76 developer, the most popular film developer, invented in 1927. More about it when I’ll get back from Paris.

Here is the answer you all have been waiting for.

Will Linhof Technorama replace the GoPro as an action camera?!?

To come to the end of this question that is bothering so many, I’ve made a camera test in a kayak! Enjoy and expect more topshit spreading from this direction.

How to teach children photography

with 2 comments

.
Dear readers of my blog,
In this episode of Topshit Photography Vlog, I’m sharing with you my way of storytelling about photography. How to show in the simplest manner what is photography. Photography is a music of chemistry, physics and biology to which photographers are dancing!

Here is my vlog on paper negative: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSkOjzINQAA&t=2s

If you appreciate it, share it with those who teach or are learning photography.

Paper Negative Experiment / Vlog #49

with 2 comments

.

Dear followers,

the results from this experiment has surprised me. I’ve used old compact camera, Kodak Folding Brownie 3A and silver-gelatin paper as a negative. On the end I’ve got this amazing print that I’m also listing on eBay. I’m sorry for not containing my excitement, but I’m an artist, I’m allowed to do that. Anyway even if you are not an artist, I hope you will like this vlog. I’ve been working on it for the whole week, but I think it was worth it.

I’ve listed the print on eBay and the listing is in two options, with or without the mat. The print is in both cases the same quality.

Please share with me your experience with paper-negative and if you have some suggestions what should be the theme of my future vlogs, please share that too.

Thank you for watching and helping me spreading topshit across the world!

PS: I’ve took down the EBay listing. I’ve changed my mind, it’s not on sale.

How much does Wet Plate Collodion cost?

In this vlog I’m shedding new light onto the myth that the wet plate collodion process is a very expensive hobby. It can be, but it doesn’t have to be. In the end I haven’t done all the maths, but I reckon that with 300 EUR you can buy the Brownie, tripod and all the chemistry to make 50 plates or more. THX!

If you appreciate this kind of content and you would like me to do more of it, I would appreciate your support through buying my book or becoming my patreon.

My Dream Darkroom – Topshit Photography Vlog 43

with 2 comments

.
I’m photographer all my life and I had many darkrooms. If I count only dedicated darkroom spaces, this is my fifth darkroom and with each one I’ve learned something new. This is my dream darkroom. It is functional, well equipped and it looks good, thus stimulating for making some beautiful art. Tomorrow (22.6.2018) I’m publishing the workshop calendar.

I could not done it without the help of Anže Grabeljšek , Peter Peterlin and Mateja Gašparin. Thank you!

And big thank you to all of my patreons: https://www.patreon.com/borutpeterlin
